Yesterday, Mrs. Sattler's 7th Grade classes began their study over Native Americans who lived in Moultrie County. The Kickapoo tribe resided here in the 19th century. Yesterday, students connected with the Kickapoo's culture by creating corn husk dolls similar to those that Kickapoo children would have made. Today, they were able to explore different games, artifacts, and clothing that the Kickapoo would have used. Big shoutout to the Moultrie County Historical Society for creating and organizing the materials for us!
