Mrs. Seeley’s Early Childhood class had spent the first three weeks of school studying the colors red, blue, and yellow. We have practiced finding examples of these colors in the world around us by looking for examples of them in the halls of SES.
Lady Redskins Softball takes two wins in Arthur tonight 17-4 and 10-4! The ladies are right down the road tomorrow afternoon, in Bethany, to face OV at 4:30.
Boys’ Baseball drops two on the road at Charleston, both 4-1. Baseball resumes play Saturday morning at 10 at LSA.

We are proud of these two Redskins for competing at the IESA Golf Sectional today! Brett finished 18th of 44 contestants but didn’t make the cut off for the State Tournament! Carter was brave to give it a shot as a 5th grader! Way to go!! #onetribe

The Middle School Cross Country team finished a heated meet in Shelbyville. Three boys finished in the top 20. Johnathan Iacobazzi in 6th, Curtis Kite in 11th, and Mason Booker in 16th. The girls had two top 20 finishers. Mae Dawkins in 14th and Devon Richardson in 16th. Their next meet will be September 10th in Allerton Park. #onetribe

SMS baseball and softball both drop close conference games. Baseball is defeated 3-0 by Shelbyville and softball is defeated 9-6 by Meridian.
Softball is back in action at home tomorrow and baseball is on the road Wednesday at Charleston! Cross Country joins the mix and travels to Shelbyville tomorrow night! #onetribe

SMS Cross Country finished with the girls receiving 8th place and boys taking 9th overall....top girl runner was Mae Dawkins at 15:12 and top boy runner was Johnathan Iacobazzi at 12:47. Aston Johnson drooped time off his average today getting his personal best of the year along with other improving on the season!

5th grade science students conducted their first experiment this week - how do we know matter is there when we can’t see it? Students pulled back on syringes (filling them with air) and then pushed the air out - they felt it on their hands and then watched it fill a balloon. For fun they blew bubbles with a straw into a cup of water showing that that air does take up space and is matter, even when we can’t see it! #ScienceIsCool #onetribe
