Sullivan Middle School hosted ISU’s Center for Math, Science, and Technology tonight in the HUB. Educators from central Illinois (including three teachers from Sullivan) came to be trained on their Smart Grid for Schools program. Teachers simulated power plant and smart house activities. After completing the training, educators can sign up for these kits to be shipped to their schools and used in their classrooms. The programs are k-12. A lot of hands-on learning for everyone! Our 6th grade STEM class was given the following materials to make their best hoop glider: straws, index cards, and tape. Today, each group tested their hoop gliders to see how far they would fly! These ladies finished in 1st and 2nd place with measurements of 9.4 and 9.3 meters! Way to go, girls! #STEMeducation #onetribe
7th grade boys basketball kicked off Conference Tournament play this morning with a win over Central A&M! They are now playing #1 seed, Warrensburg-Latham. The tournament is being played at Argenta this year! Good luck boys! #onetribe

8th Grade Lady Redskins ended their season tonight in a tough regional loss to Meridian, 43-38. The girls fought hard the whole way.
