Students in Mr. Webb’s 7th grade social studies classes practiced their quilting, weaving, and toy making skills today as part of our “Life in the American Colonies” unit! Students were tasked with creating a custom quilt square, a weaved decor item, or a whirligig - a colonial children’s toy! Huge shoutout to Mr. Webb’s 8th grade students and high school service students for helping us prepare for this activity!

🥘 🛻 Food Truck Project Feast 🛻 🍱 Students in 6th grade STEM class have been working as entrepreneurs on a Food Truck Project. Students had to design their own food truck, come up with a business plan, a menu, logo, slogans, advertisements, etc. Check out some samples of parts of their projects! Today, they were able to bring in a sample item from their menu to share with their classmates. Let’s just say, we may not need to eat lunch! Each year, their ideas amaze me! I am proud of these students and all their hard work! -Ms. Heddins #onetribe

Mrs. Ray, Mrs. Dickens, Mrs. Miller, and Mr. Webb enjoyed a tour of the recently expanded Moultrie County History Center today! Through our partnership with the folks at the History Center, Sullivan Schools will be able to share with our students an in-depth look at the history of the place we all call home! The Center will feature unique permanent and rotating exhibits and research opportunities that will bring to life the local history of topics students are learning about in the classroom, including: Native American history, agricultural history, the history of education, war, law, literature, and the arts! Stay tuned for more as the Center continues to prepare their facility for our students and community!
