There will be a SHS player-parent meeting on Monday August 9th at 6:00 PM in the Sullivan High School gym for those individuals interested in high school football, cross country, golf, volleyball, football cheer, and girls swimming. Numerous topics will be discussed and some paperwork will be completed. Please plan to attend. The official start date of practice for high school football, cross country, golf, volleyball, and girls swimming is Monday August 9th. SOV football cheer will be conducting tryouts for this fall's football cheer squad on August 11th, 12th, and 13th. In all circumstances, students interested in trying out and participating in these sports must have a current sports physical on file with the high school office and be a registered student of Sullivan High School prior to being allowed to participate.

Congratulations to the SHS Girls Track Team on finishing in a tie for third place in the IHSA Class A Sectional Track Meet at Tuscola tonight! Highlights included Zoe Walton winning the High Jump with a jump of 5'2", Emily White placing fourth in the High Jump with a jump of 5'0", Sophia Nuzzo placing fourth in Pole Vault with a 2.74 meter vault, and Madalyn Booker placing second in the 400 meter dash! All four of those individuals will advance to compete in the IHSA Class A State Track Meet next Thursday June 10th at Eastern Illinois University! #onetribe!
There is a lot going on in SHS Athletics today! The SHS Softball team opens regional competition at Pana today at 4:30 PM. The game will be played at the Tanner Park Sports Complex at 1224 E. Third Street in Pana at 4:30 PM and no admission will be charged. The SHS Baseball team competes in regional competition at Gibson City-Melvin Sibley at 4:30 PM. The game will be played at the middle school in Gibson City and no admission will be charged. Lastly, the SHS Boys Track team competes in the Central Illinois Conference track meet today at Shelbyville High School at 4:30 PM. Admission rates are $4.00 for individuals ranging from kindergarten to adult. Good luck to all our athletes competing today!

Due to conference race implications, the SHS Varsity Softball game scheduled on Tuesday 6/1 in Sullivan against Central A&M has been cancelled. Instead, Sullivan will be traveling to Ervin Park in Tuscola to play a varsity softball game on Tuesday 6/1 starting at 6:00 PM.

The SHS Varsity and JV Baseball games scheduled for today 5/29 at Shelbyville have been moved to Sullivan starting at noon today. A five inning JV game will follow the varsity contest.

Admission rates for the CIC Girls Track Meet this evening at Sullivan High School are $4.00 for ages Kindergarten through adult. Gates will open at 3:45 with the meet starting at 4:30. Good luck to all participating schools!
