Entrepreneurship students toured local businesses this past week to connect and learn how their lessons apply in the real world. Students met with representatives from AgriFab, The Traditional Bakery, and Catherine's/5 West.
This Friday at Building 1225 - the Sullivan Jazz Bands will perform at 7pm for their final jazz night concert. Free entry!
The Sullivan High School Student Council participated in the annual IASC State Conference in Lombard. The students discussed ideas to help improve our council, worked with other schools and had some fun working on team work at an escape room and then enjoyed Giordanos pizza!!

Some kids play video games after school and some kids melt aluminum in a forge to cast in to awesome mustaches.

The Spring Band Concert is being held on Thursday, April 25th at 6pm in the SHS Gym, featuring our concert bands from 5th-12th grade. It will be live streamed as well! Hope to see you there for our final concert of the year!

Students in Mrs. Badman’s 7th period Honors English III class were the winners English Week, a school-wide trivia week hosted by NEHS. They enjoyed eating their winnings... pizza!

Congratulations to the Sullivan HS Concert Band for earning a Division II rating at the IHSA Organizational in Taylorville this past weekend. Catch them next week at the Spring Concert on April 25th at 6pm!
On Wednesday, 5/8, at 8:30AM, SHS will hold Decision Day, an assembly where all Sullivan High School seniors will be showcased.
We will learn what each senior’s plans are after high school, any scholarships they received, any clubs/sports they were involved in, and a memory from high school. Departmental awards, Illinois State Scholars, and extra-curricular cords and pins will also be given at this time. Wurtsbaugh Photography will be taking pictures.
This is an opportunity for underclassmen and community members to see all the wonderful opportunities Sullivan High School has to offer! All are welcome to attend!

Last call! If you have not ordered this year’s high school yearbook, please go to Jostens.com to place your order. This will ensure that a 2018-2019 yearbook is set aside for you. Current price for the yearbook is $45.
If you have a senior that is graduating and you have not placed an order for a congratulatory SENIOR SHOUTOUT, order forms have been e-mailed out to the parent’s email this week. Please contact Sarah Britton (brittons@sullivan.k12.il.us) if you have any questions.
Final note... the 2018-2019 yearbook will not be delivered until later in the fall. They will be available for current students near Thanksgiving break; 2019 seniors can get their yearbooks in December.

Seniors in Mrs. Badman’s AP Language class enjoyed celebrating Gatsby as they ended their Great Gatsby unit. Students read eulogies, performed twenties dances, and ate decade-appropriate food.
