The SHS baseball team celebrated the end of their season with a team banquet. At the banquet, the following awards were given:
Tristan Ruppert, Offensive Player of the Year and One Tribe Award; Jackson Matheson, One Tribe Award; Dawson Foster, Grit Award; and Will Haegen, Most Improved Player.
Additionally, the following players were selected to the All-Conference team: Tristan Ruppert, 1st team; Jackson Matheson, Honorable Mention; and Jake Stewart, Honorable Mention.

The SHS Boys Track Team held their end of season cookout last night. Team awards for this season: Cody Browne-Varsity Points Leader, Ben Bushue-Most Improved Athlete, Kyle Corkill- Redskin Award, and Kyle Corkill, Jayden Troxell, Kahlil Walker, Ryan Villalobos, and Clayton Schmohe were voted as Team Captains. The Class of 2023 Prom Committee was thrilled to be able to award four seniors a $250 scholarship at this year’s Decision Day. These seniors were selected for their full attendance at Post Prom and above-and-beyond participation. The recipients are Logan Annetts, Hayden Nodine, Lexi Swaim, and Mikaela Moore.

Congratulations to Madalyn Booker, Cassidy Short, Alaina Moore, Sofia Nuzzo, Izzy Hay, and Jalexis Bennett for qualifying for the IHSA State Track and Field Meet. They will compete next Thursday at Eastern Illinois University.
Tomorrow is Decision Day! Parents and community members will have reserved seating on the north bleachers close to the stage. Please arrive by 8:45am as the ceremony will begin at 8:50am. Thanks to Mr. Waelde, the ceremony will also be live-streamed on our YouTube page.
