The National History Scholar Society recently visited the Moultrie County Historical Society to begin work on their research of Sullivan High School. They also took a tour of the new museum and are very excited to see this grow over the next several months.
The Sullivan High School Student Council would like to invite all veterans to a brunch before our annual assembly tomorrow. The brunch will take place immediately following the elementary assembly, around 9:30, in the high school commons. The Sullivan High School and Middle School assembly will then begin at 10:30 in the high school gymnasium. All community members are welcome to attend.
Mr. Huber's Civics classes are getting into the election season with their own Presidential campaigns!
Tonight (11/7) at 6:00 is the SHS Winter Sports Parent Meeting in the SHS Gym. Parents of athletes from Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Basketball Cheer, & Boys Swim please plan on attending!

The Lady Redskins fell to Warrensburg-Latham last night to close the regular season, but Sullivan fans have enjoyed watching this terrific group of seniors this season and the last four years. Congrats to Coach Davis and the team!!!
Miss Davis’s class enjoyed a beautiful fall morning visiting Buxton’s Pumpkin Patch, drinking hot chocolate, and painting pumpkins! Thank you to all who donated to the Nicholas Carroll Memorial fund making these monthly field trips possible.
FCCLA will be making and selling pies for Thanksgiving this year! Sales will be through November 4, with pickup dates of November 18 or 22.

According to Roadrunner Recycling, "On average, there are 152 pieces of litter for every U.S. resident." Shout out to these NHS members (Brett Bushue, Liz Owens, Kenzie Pedigo, Lara Herscheberger) who straightened up teachers’ classrooms after school today and picked up trash inside the school.
Yesterday, Sullivan’s FCCLA chapter attended the FCCLA Fall Leadership Conference at EIU. Students attended workshops with topics about healthy relationships, social media professionalism, how to lead like Lincoln and team building skills. We are very excited for this year!
FCCLA is teaming up with the Moultrie Counseling Center to bring supplies to students who may need them. These supplies will be available in various locations in the school for students. We are asking for community support by way of donations to help out students. Please see the attached list and if you feel led to donate, donations can be dropped off in the high school office or at the counseling center. Thank you for your support of our students and our community!
It’s Senior Day for SHS Cross Country today! Congrats to Lane Richardson!
Come join the 5th and 6th grade basketball teams on October 25 at 6:00 in the SES gym as we honor all cancer survivors and celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month! Everyone wearing pink and green will be admitted into the game for free! We will recognize all survivors in between the games around 6:45.
