SMS took nine students to Six Flags last Thursday to reward them for their hard work this year. Ten students earned the privilege by having perfect attendance, no discipline referrals and making honor roll for the year. The ten students who achieved this were Draven Bolin, Sienna Casteel, Joann Mathias, Alaina Moore, Madaline Probus, Hannah Righter, Chloe Smith, Alexis Swaim, Luke Waelde and Braden Wilson. Special thanks to the Sullivan McDonalds for donating breakfast to the students on our way out of town, and to the Lee Robinson Charitable Fund for the grant money to pay for the trip.

Mrs. Hendry brought her 4th graders to check out the worms the 8th graders dissected. They had a worm compost in their room all year. It also helped the 8th graders prepare for their quiz.

Sullivan Middle School was happy to hear from Mike at Living Lands and Waters. He explained how his organization grew from one man on a mission of cleaning up the Mississippi River to a massive operation trying to clean all of our nation's rivers.

Students in Ms. Heddins 5th Grade mafh classes challenge each other on www.rulergame.net - on this website students are given measurements and they have to find that measurement on an interactive English ruler. Today they practiced with 1/8ths and even 1/16ths.

“Doug” made a surprise visit to the kids in Mr. Rogers’ 4th hour as a surprise end to the “Up” project. Not sure you can see his voice activator because of the rolls.
