SMS Girls’ Basketball have their first home game vs. Arcola, Monday, September 30th. For this game only, there will be only two quarters played of the 7th grade game. SMS Girls’ Basketball opened up their season tonight in Atwood against Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond. 7th Grade was defeated 26-14. Addison Minor lead the Lady Redskins in scoring with 6 points, Shaylin Hunter had 4 points and Shaelyn Elllis and Emily Miller finished with 2 points. 8th grade comes home with a big win 38-11. Kiley Dyer led the team with 20 points. Bella Harden and Keeliana Norton added 6 points. Dyer and Isabelle Stone led with 7 steals. Norton grabbed 7 rebounds and Harden added 6. Great team effort! Way to go, Lady Redskins! #onetribe

SMS Cross Country competed yesterday at Allerton Park with the boys finishing in 2nd place and girls finishing in 1st! Top ten finishers for the boys were Johnathon Iacobazzi in 2nd, Curtis Kite in 4th, and Mason Booker in 5th! Top ten finishers for the girls were Mae Dawkins in 1st, Brooklyn Booker in 5th, Devon Richardson in 9th and Eiley Poe in 10th! Way to go, Redskins!! #onetribe
