5th and 6th Grade Cheer had a blast at their end of season banquet last night! They will cheer on the 5/6 Boys Basketball team in their final home game of the season tomorrow night (12/21) vs ALAH in the ES gym starting at 6 PM! Good luck to all and have fun!





Tonight, during the second half of the 8th Grade Boys Basketball game, Daisy Richardson and Kenzie Mercer took it upon themselves to sweep up the student section to make things easier on our custodial staff after the game. Those are the little things in life that lead to big success! Way to go, Ladies! We are #OneTribe!

Alex has been such a role model in our 5th grade classroom and has reached 100 positive points on dojo. He was asked to choose his favorite teacher to pose with to be FB famous and he chose Mr. Campbell. Way to go Alex!

SMS 6th graders are ready for Christmas Cheer! December 1st means they break out all of their red and green gear.

SMS Boys Basketball plays at Monticello Middle School this evening starting at 6 PM. It is a special "Teal Out" game in support of Love for Liam and the Walden Family! Gate money at the game will be donated to the family. Come on out for some Friday night basketball and wear teal to show your support!

Students in Mr. Webb's 8th grade social studies classes participated in an assembly line simulation on Thursday. Students were thoroughly engaged as they competed against rival lines! Through this simulation, students reflected on the benefits and challenges of assembly line production in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

At last night's 7th Grade Girls Basketball Regional Championship, IESA gave out a Sportsmanship Pin to one player from each team chosen by coaches in the championship games.
The criteria for the award is as follows:
-Shows positive attitude towards teammates, opponents, and officials
-Gives best effort on the field
-Does not argue calls and is respectful to officials
-Displays positive body language at all times
-Helps elevate the play and behavior of their teammates and peers
The award winner from our school was Tenley Stollard! Congratulations and way to go! #OneTribe!
