Attached are Open Gym times in July for Boys 7th & 8th graders who are playing basketball next year. These Open Gyms will be dedicated to individual skill development. Open Gyms will be held in the High School Gym.
The Sullivan CUSD #300 track will start the process of being resurfaced tomorrow, 6/15/23. Please be advised that there will be no access to the track until further notice.

Avery Renfro placed 7th receiving a medal for the 400m
Colt Wilson placed 10th for the 200M
7th grade girls and boys competed in the 4 x 100M relays.
All athletes worked hard! We are proud of their accomplishments!
5th grade Math students in Mrs. Hendry's 3rd hour earned their bubble gum blowing contest as well. Students earn points based on attendance, behavior, homework completion, and volume. Way to go!!
Mr. Webb's 7th and 8th grade social studies students represented Sullivan Schools very well Thursday night at the Moultrie County History Center! On their own accord, these students sought out an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Holocaust by attending a presentation given by Dr. Bill Gingold, a Holocaust survivor. Sullivan Schools would like to thank the Moultrie County History Center and the Champaign-Urbana Jewish Federation for making this opportunity possible.
5th grade 3rd quarter engineering students are finishing up their bridges. They researched beam and truss bridges, made a plan, and designed a bridge using either popsicle sticks or spaghetti. Way to go Engineers!
Students in Mr. Webb's 7th grade social studies classes recently completed an escape room using Morse code. The final task was to crack the code on Mr. Webb's vault - yes, a real bank vault inside the classroom! Students were very excited to see the inside of this piece of SMS history!
5th graders in Mrs. Hendry's 1st period math class earned enough class points for a Bubblegum Bubble blowing contest!! It was a two way tie between Parker and Piper!!
Students earn points for attendance, good behavior, homework completion, and being on time for class.

5th grade math students reviewed symmetry and used pencil lead and paint to create a butterfly to show off their symmetry skills.

Sullivan Middle School students who read at least 500 pages for the 3rd quarter Reading Redskin Challenge celebrated at Building 1225. Those with over 1,000 pages logged earned a sweet ice cream treat!!

5th Grade Volleyball ended their season with big wins on Saturday, taking home the LSA Tournament Championship! Their final record was 11-2
6th Grade fought hard and took home 2nd place, ending their season 10-3

Students have been tasked with creating a commercial ad that argues for or against one of the 27 U.S. Amendments. Today's topics included: income taxes, prohibition, women's rights, and due process!
