In order to demonstrate understanding of geometric transformations (rotations, reflections, translations, and dilations), students in Mrs. Wade's classes created pictures using Desmos, a web based dynamic software. In order to create their pictures, they had to use Desmos tools to create their shapes, make them the color they wanted (with a limited selection!), and then tell the program to rotate/translate/reflect/dilate in a way that created their desired picture. Extra effort went into "hiding" each point at a vertex of their polygons or centers of circles. They also completed skills training to learn the tools, and then answered reflection questions to describe the moves they used. Enjoy the "wall of fame", and if you have a student in Mrs. Wade's class, ask to see their project!
