Today's Athletic Events:
SHS Boys and Girls Golf competes at St. Elmo Country Club today against Arcola and Altamont at 4:00. Team members need to be dismissed from class at 2:15 for a 2:30 bus.
SOV JV Football competes at Warrensburg-Latham beginning at 6:00.
Results From This Weekend:
From SOV Football: The SOV varsity football team resumed CIC play this past Friday night at Warrensburg-Latham. The team was defeated by a score of 66-6, falling to 0-4 on the season. The team will host Meridian High School on Friday as a part of Sullivan High School's homecoming festivities.
From SHS Cross Country: The SHS cross country team competed this past weekend at the Tuscola Invitational. The boys team finished in 13th place with a score of 284 while the girls team did not have a team score. The top finisher for Sullivan on the girls side was Katherine Kite with a time of 21:52.2 to finish in 29th place while the top finisher for the boys was Isaiah Plank with a time of 17.45.77 to finish in 23rd place.
From SHS Golf: The SHS Boys golf team competed at the Windsor Invitational on Saturday. We placed 3rd out of 14 teams. Hillsboro shot a 309, St. Anthony 325 and we shot a 330. We were led by Caden Ellis with a 77. Drew Rogers had a great day with a 81, Leighton Burcham 84, and Tim Lawyer 88. The Lady Redskins also competed at the Windsor Invitational on Saturday and had a pretty successful day. The team finished 3rd, and had a team low score of 407. Three of our ladies shot their personal bests, Addison Darush (90), Irie Dulin (98), and Esther Miller (104). It was our first 18 hole match of the year and it was a very promising start with Conference and Regionals right around the corner. Our next match is this evening against Altamont at St. Elmo golf course. We are now 8-4, with 3rd and 5th place finishes in our invitationals.
From SHS Marching Band: Congratulations to the marching band for placing third this weekend in the Morton High School Band Invitational.
